Trap, Neuter & Release, or Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), is the most humane and effective approach to addressing community cat populations. It improves the lives of cats, addresses community concerns, reduces complaints about cats, and stops the reproduction cycle. The Stockton Animal Shelter provides TNR services based upon availability and resources. https://www.stocktonca.gov/services/animal_services/trap_neuter___release.php
ACT Requires a $25 Deposit in order to schedule a spay or neuter appointment for a pet cat and a $50 deposit to schedule an appointment to spay or neuter a dog. Deposit must be paid at the time of scheduling, or you do not have an appointment. http://www.acatteam.org/Services.html
APL’s Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Program represents the core of our mission and values. Reducing the overpopulation of animals in our community is the best way to ensure that we have the resources to care for lost and abandoned animals at Stockton Animal Shelter, and to increase the quality of life for all pets.
Every year about 11,000 animals are brought into Stockton Animal Shelter, from Stockton and unincorporated areas of San Joaquin County. You can do your part to reduce our pet population by having your pet(s) spayed or neutered. Low-Cost Spay and Neuter vouchers are intended for low-income households, and those that cannot afford to have their pet sterilized. Together we can make a difference! https://apl209.org/low-cost-spay-and-neuter-vouchers/
